Szczepan Szczeniowski
Professor Szczepan Szczeniowski (1898 - 1979), physicist, author of several papers on the photoluminescence of solutions, cosmic rays, electron diffraction and ferromagnetism.
In the years 1930 - 1936 professor at the Jan Kazimierz University in Lviv,
1937 - 1939 professor at the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius.
After the war, since 1945 till 1963 worked in Poznan.
Since 1957 professor in the Institute of Physics at the Technical University of Warsaw, and the director the Institute in the years 1963 - 1969.
Since 1936 a member of the Technical Science Academy,
since 1948 a member of the Polish Academy of Knowledge,
since 1964 a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences,
since 1971 Doctor honoris causa of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.
