Research activity:

  • Ferroics and multiferroics: phase transitions and molecular dynamics, size effectr; dynamics of ferroelectric and ferroelastic domains, ferroelectrics, ferroelectric relaxors.
  • Materials with fast ionic transport, superprotonic conductors (crystalline, polymer, composites) for potential use in fuel cells.
  • Polymers and their composites as new functional materials for applications: studies of dielectric, piezoelectric and pyroelectric responses, charge storage properties.
  • Technology of ferroic and multiferroic, polymer and composite materials, technology of materials with high ionic conductivity.
  • Research equipment:

  • NIR - FT - Raman spectrometer (IFS 66 FRA 106, Bruker) with temperature stabilization from liquid nitrogen to 400 K; Raman microscope with helium cryostat.
  • Equipment for impedance/dielectric spectroscopy in frequency range 3*10-5Hz - 3*109Hz and temperature range 10 - 1500 K:
    - Broadband impedance/dielectric spectrometer Novocontrol - concept 80 with Novocontrol Quatro Cryosystem (113 - 673 K) and Novotherm HT 1200 (dc - 1MHz; 300 - 1500 K).
    - Set of impedance HP analyzes (HP 4284A, HP 4192A, HP 4191A) with Oxford Instruments cryostat CF 1204 (10 - 450 K) and various low frequency and coaxial sample holder.
  • Equipment for optical study (polarizing microscope JENAPOL) in temperature range 80 - 870 K (Linkam).
  • Differential scanning calorimeter (Netzsch DSC 200) from 150 K to 1500 K.
  • Planetary mono mill "pulverisette 6" (Fritsch).
