ii) Dielectric and pyroelectric response of electroactive ceramic-polymer nanocomposites. Electroactive ceramic-polymer composites are commonly used in electromechnical transducers and various sensors since they combine optimum properties of the ceramics (high dielectric, piezo- and pyroelectric activity) with those of the polymers (low dielectric losses and low density. Moreover, the properties of the composites can be tailored to application requirements by varying the properties of constituent phases, their volumetric ratios and connectivity. The results of our dielectric, piezo- and pyroelectric response studies show the way of optimization of the Figures of Merit.
