How to get to the Conference Center from the railway station
Poznań lies on international rail line Paris-Berlin-Poznań-Warsaw-Moscow. Travel time by train from Warsaw (300 km) and Berlin (280 km) is about 3 hrs. Poznań railway station (Poznań Główny) is situated about 1100 m from the Conference Center (Ośrodek Nauki PAN, ul. Wieniawskiego 17/19) where registration, lecture hall, meals and accommodation for most ARW participants will be organized. You can get to the conference center by:

  1. Radio-taxi. Please, use only radio-taxi, which you can call by telephone eg. 9622, 919, etc. You can order a radio-taxi in a booking-office window in the main hall of the railway station. It costs about 10 PLN (Polish złoty) to get to the Conference Center.
  2. City bus 68 or 51 from the railway station. You should get off the bus at the third stop (Urząd Wojewódzki). Then, go to the other side of the street and cross the little park on the left. You will see the Conference Center in front of you.

How to get to the Conference Center from the Ławica airport
The local airport of Poznań (Ławica) offers international links with Copenhagen, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Hannover, and domestic ones including Warsaw. You can get to the Conference Center by:
  1. Radio-taxi. The radio-taxis 919 are usually in front of the airport exit (about 30 m on the left from exit) but radio-taxis 9622 are cheaper. Taxi price is about 15 PLN.
  2. City bus 78 (bus stop in front of the airport exit); ticket is about 2 PLN. Go to the city center and get off the bus at the bus stop: Most Teatralny (about 200 m from the Conference Center). Walk to the other side of Most Teatralny (a small bridge) and turn left in a small street after the bridge (before you reach Opera building). Go along the street, you will quickly find the Conference Center on your left.

How to get to Poznań from Okęcie airport by train
If you travel to Warsaw by plane, you can reach Poznań by train from Central Train Station (Dworzec Warszawa Centralna). You can get to the station by:

  1. City Bus 175 (bus stop in front of the airport exit); ticket is about 2.50 PLN.
  2. Radio-taxi 919 (please take care not to use other taxis); it costs approximately 21 PLN.
There are many trains Warsaw-Poznań and the most expensive ticket is about 101 PLN (first class, InterCity or EuroCity); the last train to Poznań leaves Warszawa Centralna at 19:45.

How to get to Poznań from Okęcie airport by domestic flight
If you travel to Warsaw by plane, you can try to get to Poznań with a domestic flight if seats are available. One-way ticket is about 132 PLN and two-way ticket is about 233 PLN. Note that these airfares are substantially higher if tickets are issued in another country than Poland, and if your trip does not include weekend days.
